This sounds perfect. We have a 3-year-old and 2-year-old who love letters and letter sounds and are asking about "how you do that?" when we read to them. We've been piecing together our own program from things available on the web and our own work but this sounds ideal. Thanks for putting the info out there.

This would be perfect for my family. I'm homeschooling my 5 yr. old and have been looking for something to help me teach him to read. I have heard good things about the Hooked on Phonics program and would love to utilize it for my son!

My 3 boys ages 7, 5 and almost 3 would get a lot from HOOKED on PHONICS. My 7 year old reads nicely but I think could use some help with difficult blends and vowel combinations. My 5 year old is really having a great time with sight words and is just sounding out words so this would be awesome for him to really take that next step. My little guy (will be 3 in January) he can identify all the letters and every now and then can associate the sound.

I would enjoy most as a parent from Hooked on Phonics program is that my kids will all eventually love to read and be able to read to me and they will have fun learning to do it with this program. When it is reading time at home everyone including the littlest goes to get a book.

WOW! I have been trying to figure how to teach my son (3 1/2) how to read and this program looks like the perfect one for us to start.
He already knows the alphabet and he LOVES when we "read" together, he even learned some of the paragraphs of his favorites books by heart...lol but i think now is time for us to put it together and start learning the real stuff.

I love this post. Both your spelling and grammar are impeccable, and your use of bullets in the second paragraph elevated the entire experience. I applaud your image choice as it really tied the post together. Placing it between the first and second paragraphs was a stroke of genius.

Please pick me as the winner.

I'll be honest with you: I don't think this would be fun for me because like, I already know how to read real good and stuff. And plus I didn't see any mention of Harry Potter. Or vampires. Maybe if there was a Hooked On Phonics book that featured a psychic vampire that went to wizard school I'd be like "oh, cool!"

Sincerely,
Josh

My daughter really loves the books that came with her Hooked on Phonics set for toddlers. Tot Fox is her friend. :) I'm sure she would love this set as well.
