Big news here at the Macaroni camp! We’re expecting a little boy, who will really help to round out our home focus group.

Olive has been asking for a little brother for some time now, so she’s thrilled about the news. Still, there are questions. One great resource I’ve found to let her know about what’s happening with me and the baby is this charming series on the CBeebies Grownups website: Mummy’s Pregnant.

It walks through all of the different stages of pregnancy from a kid’s perspective as a boy gets ready to welcome his baby sister into the world. Olive loves to watch through all of the videos a couple times a week. She’s pretty well-versed in this whole pregnancy thing now.

Oh, and there really is an app for everything. This may be an overshare (Mom, you can probably stop reading now), but for anyone trying to get pregnant I’d recommend the OvuLite iPhone app.

It’s not much more than any other ovulation calendar, but I’ve sure found it handy to have some key dates archived on my phone.
