The Next of 39 Clues: One False Note

The next book of the series The 39 Clues was released this week. Like the last book, The Maze of Bones, this follows the adventures of Amy and Dan Cahill as they race against their backstabbing distant relatives to find the 39 clues, which will make them the most powerful people in the world.

The Maze of Bones weaved its way through the history of Benjamin Franklin, and now One False Note dances through the history of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, taking the Cahills further into their European adventure. One False Note is not quite as captivating as The Maze of Bones was, but what I think will continue to be interesting about this book series is learning about the different branches of the Cahill family. In this book, we begin to learn more about the artistic Janus side of the family. (Not only is Mozart a Janus, but so is Snoop Dogg. Fo’ shizzle!)

One False Note came with 6 more trading cards, but I was disappointed to see that my cards were all common, and they didn’t contain any of the cool puzzles that I got last time. While poking around the website, though, I discovered a very cool new game called Lab Rat. Mix colors to figure out the lab puzzle, following in the footsteps of Marie Curie.

Bravo, 39 Clues, for getting me to mention Benjamin Franklin, Mozart, Marie Curie and Snoop Dogg in one blog post. Well played.
